Why We Are Against Japan?

Dear United Nation:

I am a first-year PhD student at Colorao State University.  I am from China.

I believe the UN and the people in the entire world have seen the reports through different sources that Chinese people launch campaigns to keep Japan out of the United Nations Security Council. I have no hesitation to join my fellowmen to protest against Japan to gain a permanent seat on a revamped Security Council which will be voted in September.

The reasons why we we protest against Japan?

The first and principal reason is that Japan is a country that never assumed responsbilities for what crime it commited, let alone the public apologies to the Eastern Asian countries which were ravaged during the World War II. In contrast to Germany, it also invaded and ravaged many Europeann countries during the Second World War, however, unlike Japan, German governments keep apologizing and confessing to the victims when they assume the reins of a new government. We believe Japan does not have the slightest qualifications for the roles it can play in the Security Council in the UN. Japan is one of the potential factors threatening the peace in the world.

What is even worse, Japanese government even has tampered with their history textbooks which conceal their crimes and distort the REAL facts. You might know one of the most notorious crimes Japanese army commited during WWII is the Nanking Massacre when 300,000 Chinese common people were killed, including many women and children!!! And it never apologized publicly to us Chinese people!!! Can you allow such an evil Japan government to be a member of the security council in the UN? You might doubt what I have said in here, but we have (also some Japanese people have) irrefutable evidence to show that the crimes Japanese army commited during the war.

If Japan was accepted into the Security Council in the UN, that would definitely deeply hurt the people and the eastern Asian countries who were ravaged and killed in the war. The UN is supposed to be place where the peace, impartiality and truth are.

We admit that the UN does need reform to ensure its functionality and roles in the world peace. When accepting new members into the Security Council, we should definitely consider the members' qualification.

We request the UN  understand our thoughts  sentiments and petition.
